A colo-vesical fistula most commonly arises from Crohn’s disease.

Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition that can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract, including the colon. One of the complications of Crohn’s disease is the formation of abnormal connections between different organs, known as fistulas. In the case of a colo-vesical fistula, there is an abnormal connection between the colon and the bladder. This can lead to symptoms such as recurrent urinary tract infections, pneumaturia (passing gas in the urine), and fecaluria (passing feces in the urine).
